'The Curse of the Were-Rabbit starring Wallace & Gromit'
I heard a lot about this movie so my expectations where high. So I went to the
movies last saturday and saw The Curse of the Were-Rabbit starring Wallace & Gromit. They pulled it off in spades! It caught the entire audience immediately.
Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter are stunning. Steve Box's direction was simply fabulous too.
I highly recommend it! A must see.

At the office today
Today I had to deal with LZV. I was supposed to be at the meeting with our
Forward Architect but something came up, so now I have to write a document on
LZV. Anyways. I was supposed to stick to the original plan for EHD. Rumours say that I'll be working on the new LZV. My manager heard that they are in debt in the millions. Why didn't they mention it? Progress is slow, but the EHD people are very cooperative.

Yesterday's lunch
Yesterdayafter a little preliminary drinking , we went to a little French
restaurant downtown called Café Rouge to celebrate john's birthday. John
had been there once before. It was very hot inside. I heard their salt cod
gratin with olives is excellent. I had mixed feelings because I don't care much
for French food. We asked the waiter for recommendations. We ordered a bottle
of wine. We went for the sirloin steak, which was spicy.
We had lots of fun there. If you ever make it there, their bouillabaisse is to die for.

'Nine Lives'
Jane and I saw Nine Lives last saturday. A lot op people recommended it so I wanted
to see what the hype is about. There are occasional lapses in credibility. I think my expectations were high, as I only found it amusing, but not the big deal that everyone was talking about.
The direction (by Rodrigo García) was reasonably nice, I had reservations about Lisa Gay Hamilton, but it turned out pleasant. Kathy Baker delivered just a gratifying performance too.

'Duma'
Jane and I went to the movies last saturday and saw 'Duma' and it was rather
ok. The plot involved the following: Young Xan (Michaeletos), living a non-traditional life on his parents' ranch in Kenya, takes in an orphaned cheetah cub as a pet. Quickly, Xan and Dooms, as the cub comes to be known, become inseparable friends. Based on Cawthra Hopcraft's picture-book.
The actors and the director did an enjoyable job.
It's not bad, because it does keep you in expectation. I won't say it's a masterpiece.
